As we wait in expectant hope this season of Advent, be encouraged that Jesus is changing lives every day!
Here is Mariah's testimony.
"I was raised devoutly Catholic, but it never really clicked. For years I went through the motions & thought I understood faith. In January, I went to ClearView Church for the first time. The pastor talked about being “spiritually dead” and those who go through the motions of being faithful but don’t go any deeper (Mark 13). It was like he was looking straight into my head & my heart & calling me out on falling away from the true meaning. It hit me like a ton of bricks & I bawled through the majority of the service. That service made me question my faith to the very existence of God. I decided I didn’t believe. From that utter darkness, the Lord saved me. I couldn’t live in a world where God didn’t exist. It was too difficult, too painful. I chose Life. I embraced faith. At a church-network women’s retreat in March I felt God calling me to be baptized & on Easter morning I obeyed His call. Later in the spring semester, I realized I was paying $50,000/year to go to Church because that’s what was fulfilling in my life. That’s where I was happiest. The following summer, I worked at an internship in Minnesota. Spending a summer away made me feel like my major wasn’t where God wanted me. I still don’t know where He does want me, but I am living my life for Christ. My family struggles with my faith, but through grace I have been saved & I will serve Him until the end of days. “And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.” (Romans 5:2 ESV)"
Thank you for blessing us today, Mariah!
